Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Sankalp?

A Sankalp is a sacred vow or spiritual commitment. In this app, it means dedicating yourself to daily Hanuman Chalisa practice for a chosen number of days (11, 21, or 40).

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. Hanuman Sankalp does not require a login. Your progress is stored locally on your device. An internet connection is not required for daily use after installation.

How do the japa counters work?

From the More tab you can access:

Tap the mala beads to count. When you complete a daily goal, your streak updates and the counter resets after a short celebration so you can begin your next cycle.

Where can I read the Hanuman Chalisa?

Open the Read tab and choose Hanuman Chalisa — English or Bajrang Baan — English. The reader includes your name in the sacred verses and supports an optional mala counter at the bottom of the screen.

What if I miss a day during my Sankalp?

The app detects missed Sankalp days and offers a guided option to restart from Day 1. Your lifetime statistics are preserved. You can review the prompt on the Home or Journey tab.

How do I use Home Screen widgets?

  1. On your iPhone or iPad Home Screen, touch and hold the background.
  2. Tap Edit, then add widgets.
  3. Search for Hanuman Sankalp.
  4. Choose Sankalp Progress, Prayer Streak, or the medium overview widget.

How do reminders work?

Optional local reminders are available in More → Settings → Notifications:

Notifications are scheduled on your device only. You can disable them anytime in the app or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Hanuman Sankalp.

Is my data private?

Yes. Prayer progress, journal entries, and settings stay on your device. We do not collect, sell, or transmit your personal data to external servers. Read our full Privacy Policy.
