Hanuman Sankalp (“the App”) is a devotional companion that helps you track your Hanuman Chalisa Sankalp, daily japa, journal entries, and spiritual progress. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
Summary
- All personal and devotional data stays on your device.
- We do not collect, sell, or transmit your data to our servers.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not require an account or login.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App may store the following information locally using on-device storage (SwiftData and app preferences):
- Profile information you provide during onboarding or in Settings (name, age group, gender)
- Sankalp progress (duration, start/end dates, daily completion, streaks, statistics)
- Japa session counts (Hanuman Naam, Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan)
- Journal entries and notes you choose to write
- App settings (appearance, reminder preferences, achievements)
- Widget snapshot data shared between the App and its Home Screen widget extension via Apple App Group storage on your device
This information is used only to provide App features to you. It is not sent to iSAI or any third party.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or receive:
- Contact lists, photos, camera data, microphone recordings, or location data
- Health or financial information
- Device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking
- Usage analytics sent to external services
Notifications
If you enable reminders in Settings, the App schedules local notifications on your device (for example, morning and evening Sankalp reminders). These notifications are not sent through external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings.
Third-Party Services
Hanuman Sankalp v1.0.0 does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, social login, or cloud backup services. If optional cloud sync is offered in a future version, it will require your explicit consent and this policy will be updated before it is enabled.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for general devotional use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because data remains on the device, parents or guardians can delete App data by removing the App from the device.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling Hanuman Sankalp removes locally stored App data from your device, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior if you use iCloud Backup or device backups.
Security
Data is protected by your device’s operating system security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.). Because data is not transmitted to our servers, there is no remote account to breach.
Your Choices
- Update or remove profile information in More → Settings → Profile
- Turn reminders on or off in Settings
- Reset your current Sankalp without deleting historical statistics
- Delete all App data by uninstalling the App
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
